Today marks the last day of touring and exploring for Elaine (and Joe). Helen is still in Spain with her friends.
Howth, County Dublin, was the perfect place to wind down the journey. The cadence of the water, as the tides rose and fell, was a lulling framework for a finale to an amazing experience.
Walking along the sea is excellent and gorgeous!
Elaine and Joe love this charming and well-traveled holiday town! It is great for Dublin day trippers, though Elaine and Joe spent the night there. Howth is an easy train ride from Dublin, and the two can see why it is a super day trip destination.
Joe has a namesake on the pier.
Today, before heading to the airport hotel, Elaine and Joe walked on the "Green Cliff Walk". They walked about 4 miles or so today and loved every view and moment.
Some cliffside views are below!
One sight was more spectacular than the other, and this is truly one of the most special walks ever taken by Elaine and Joe!
Elaine and Joe had a relaxing night at the airport hotel and, after breakfast in the morning, they are on their way back to the U.S.A. and their home in New Jersey.
They are winding down and homeward bound!
Elaine is hoping to hear from Helen soon about her beach day in Spain!
