Helen's wandering is over for now!
She slept in 17 beds on this journey! A trip that was filled with love and adventure, friends and sights, good food, and great conversation.
She winged it home, like a dragonfly, fast and swift, on the plane, over the ocean waves, but unfortunately, she was delayed a bit in Atlanta (so close but yet so far from her home with Steve).
Yet, now Helen is in St. Augustine and near her Florida tribe again.
Much of Helen's final trip days were spent in Spain with her dear friends from the Manchester area. Jackie (second from right in photo of 'girls' at table) invited the "group" to go to a family villa near where her daughter and granddaughters live.
The photo below shows Jackie and her daughter and granddaughters.

This trip was difficult for these friends to make, as their other friend, Jackie, wouldn't be there (as planned), and the weight of missing her was great.
Below is a picture of Helen and Jackie in earlier days near the coast of Spain.

Jackie, in kindness and love, left an envelope for her daughter, Fay, to give to Karen, asking her to bring it to Spain. It contained 100 pounds for the ladies to use to have their first cocktail on "Jackie Day" (one of the trip days in Spain). Jackie didn't word it that way; she said it was just for a "first drink". The girls dedicated an entire day to her.

The friends enjoyed time on Friday with cocktails, as Jackie had requested.
Helen had a Cosmo, as she had introduced Cosmos to Jackie when they first drank them at the Rainbow Room in NYC together years ago. Helen always ordered something special for the "Brit" girls when they visited the USA. The 'Cosmo' was something associated with girls' trips to NYC, throughout the years, on visits to see Helen.

In response to how the week in Spain went, this is what Helen says, "It was a wonderful week full of fun and friendship, and I miss them all so much today."
"We laughed during our fun and shed tears while missing Jackie (not being there with us),"
Spain will be missed, as will friends.
Reflections are to come! Many memories were made on this "Walley Winged" journey for both Helen and Elaine.
