Arriving in Edinburgh

Getting to Edinburgh was a delight and the first-class tickets with food and beverages made the trip so so smooth!

Once here, the walk up the hill with cases, from the train station, was less than desirable. And once in the room, Elaine and Helen had to change rooms due to the broken closet doors (and now the door lock seems to be non-functional); Elaine and Helen made the very best of it and went with the flow! They had a nice bottle of Sauvignon Blanc in the room, then went to dinner across the street at Canon's Gait Pub.

The hotel is on Canon Road.

Apparently, the King is arriving in Edinburgh tomorrow, and the street is already all blocked off. How they will get out of Edinburgh is another question.
