A Royal Day!

So, Helen and Elaine explored Edinburgh in the rain! The rain hailed down upon them in royal form, as the King held a Garden Party just feet from their hotel, literally! The gloomy weather did not cast a damper on their spirits or on the King's Garden Party!

Helen and Elaine walked the Royal Mile and much more as the "Hop on and Off" bus brought them to the Royal Edinburgh Castle!

There, at the castle, the tours were all booked up and all that remained to do was to go to the pub! The Cannonball Restaurant and Pub did not disappoint, at all! The espresso martinis were amazing (a nod to Elaine's friend, Pat, for getting Elaine to enjoy them)!

As was predicted, Elaine and Helen had a "royal" bit of fun! From shopping at Primark to eating a roll in a tea shop. It was magnificent, if not regal day!

Clarinda's Tea Room was lovely! Some treats are shown above!

To end the day Helen and Elaine toasted Maddie with a wine named the same as the University that Maddie stayed at, in New Zealand, on her study abroad trip (this was completely unplanned as Elaine just picked up the wine randomly at Tesco). Of course, the G & T at the pub earlier was lovely too!
